I started my 997 c2s this am and my gass guage doesn't work and my right side parking light and side marker stays on after I turn off the car. Only 3900 miles but 100 miles from a dealer. Any help would be appreciated!

 

Make sure your car has gas in the tank. And as for the parking lights make sure the light switch is turned to "O" position, and not passed it to the left.

One time I need gas, and the only convenient place want $4.50 a gallon (which is over $1 more than typical for this ares). That irked me and I only put $10 in the tank. The car didn't register it at all (warning light stayed on). I stopped at another station later in the day and filled up and all was fine. That's the only time I didn't fill up, and it has never happened again.

 

On a 997 the parking light stays on if you shut the car off and flip the turn signal lever. Left makes the left side stay on and vice versa. MBs can do it by turning the headlight **** counter clockwise past off but on a 997 you do it with the turn signal levers.

 

Best bet is to take it to the dealership. Some 997's had problems with the gauge clusters. Nothing you can do to fix it. Just needs to be replaced by the dealer.
