How to shine up your chrome tips for $5 - Pics

Noticed some posts of guys throwing away their chrome tips and buying new ones because they didn't look good anymore. Well, that may be an option, but for $5 I'll show you another one.

There has been a metal polish around for 40 years. Some of you may have heard about it. It's called Noxon. The cost is about $5 and can be found at Ace hardware and other hardware stores. Just google it if it's not available in your area. It's the only metal polish I use to shine up chrome. Use a small sponge, applicator or even a cloth. Be sure to wear rubber gloves. Doesn't take much effort, just shake the bottle then apply to area in a swirling motion. Avoid getting it on the paint. Some elbow grease may be required for caked on grease, but it will come out. Here are some before and after pictures.

Nice result. Does it work for polished aluminum? Thanks for sharing.

It's safe for aluminum but does magic on chrome. Have never used it on polished wheels but the bottle says it can be applied to aluminum. Used buffing equipment, powerballs and other things on wheels, but this works so well by hand, it's the only metal polish in my arsenal. Always try a small area first .

Should be fine. Stainless steel is supported. Try it on the bottom in a small area. There are no scratches or anything that resembles sandpaper. Contains different compounds including ethanol.

Here's a great video of the product in action.
