15K Service for 996 GT3

I just bought a used 2004 996 GT3 with 18,000 miles on it. I'm not sure if the car had its 15000K services yet. I found out that this service includes oil change with filter, air filter, pollen filter, and wiper blades. My race shop wants to charge me over $600 for this service (parts and 3 hours of labor).

Does anyone know how to change the pollen filter and air filter? This way I can have them do the oil and oil filter only which would save alot of $$$.

Thanks!

Jason

Find out what dealer the car was delivered/serviced at at your local dealer. They should be able to tell you if the 15k has been done. Do it at your dealer and have them stamp your maintenence book.

Thanks! Yeah, it looks like it was never done. Porsche wants $795 to do it. Ouch!

Only 3 hours of labor tells you how simple this is. You can do the filters and blades yourself easily. Only takes me about 45 minutes. I'd just get the oil change. Look here or renntech for the DIYs.

All very simple jobs that you can do yourself in much less than 3 hours. Paying someone to clip on new wiper blades? Come on.

There's diy articles on renntech.org.
The front cabin filter is behind the cd changer.
