07' to '10 997 turbo head/tail light conversion! Help please:(

Hey 6-speeders!!!

I recently purchased an 07' 997 turbo and ordered the 2010 "LED" head lights and "LED" tails with 997.2 rear bumper. I installed everything correctly (I think) and I keep getting a code on the dash for something like "low voltage" fault

I also ordered the "Conversion" boxes for the from and rear of the car to adapt the new equipment (LED lights) to work effectivly. The only problem is, I don't know where they go

I took the liberity of calling GMG Racing. They seemed to be nice people from what I've heard. Anyhow I talked to Fabrizio ( think that's his name ) I thought that with all of the "997.2" to 997 led conversions they have completed that they may shed some light on where exactly to plug these things ( converter boxes ) in at. He very politly, and indirectly, said they couldn't help me! What kind of crazieness is this lol. I'm not asking for something that could Bankrupt their company or put them out of business. It appears to be a closely guarded secret.

Long story short, if anyone knows how to or has completed this conversion please feel free to share your much needed information. As I am at "wits end"

Thank you,

George Burke

Sounds like you just need a set of resistors on each LED fixture due to the voltage difference of the gas bulbs vs. LED bulbs.

What size, I don't know, but several LED shops sell them online

They go under the driver's seat, and you will need the dealer to activate the lights so they work perfectly. I am sure your dealer would know what to do with those parts since they are oem porsche products.

Porsche labor isn't the cheapest :P

I would like to install them myself, and then have the dealer "update" the software. Do I just simply plug them in, or do I cut and splice??

Thank you,

George B.

If it isn't too late, you can purchase the TechArt modified LED tail lights...they are modified 997.2 LED lights to make them plug in play without requiring control units.

GoingGreen is infamous around these parts
I have an 1st gen GT3. I really want the 2nd gen tail lights. This is really pissing me off because I cant find anyone else on 6speed who has done this. I know a new bumper is needed and what else?

BTY I have some resistors if you would like me to mail you a bunch you can have them for free. I need to get rid of them cause I have a lot. Let me know

If you have any pictures of your bumper and tail lights or any more info please post.
