hey all,

i have a 99 996 and my reverse lights wont work?!

checked the switch ...power to it and power from it! but NO POWER TO THE LIGHTS?

i dont have a service manual so im kind of in the dark as to where to look...

any help appreciated!

 

Try doing a search on the forum. I had the same problem on my 02 996. I checked all the bulbs and connectors and it seemed ok. There's some kind of switch under the car near the transmission. Many people replace it. I went under the car and moved the switch a little bit and it started working again.

if its a manual trans the reverse switch is on the rear of the trans and has a 2 wire connector coming off of it. probably just a reverse switch gone foul

 

yea...i replaced the switch..easiest thing i have had to do on this car!!

 

now if only we could figure out your other water issue

 

drainage was all bunged up!!
