Thinking about pulling the trigger on a new helmet

Got some cash for Father's Day (although I'm not a father??? ) and have been craving an Arai GP-5k. My Bieffe F1 is getting a little tight on my head and it has ZERO vents, but I hate to walk away from the custom paint and go back to a blank lid for a while.

Can't make up my mind.

Arai helmets are the best, top notch! I wore Arai when I rode motorcycles and Arai helmets saved my life! I just started doing autoX and DE's and did not know if I would do just 1 or really get into it so I bought a Bell for around $400. My next helmet will be an Arai although my Bell Sport 3 fits very very well.
What ever helmet you get I HIGHLY suggest you go and try them all on as they all fit a little different.

a lot of Arai dealers are having closeouts on snell 05 helmets. if you dont need the new rating you can get great deals on that gp-5k your wanting.

Get it!!!! its a great helmet, clean simple design from a company with a proven record!!!

I would highly recommend that you get the helemt that fits you the best regardless of manufacturer. Today's helmet companies all make good products that will save your noggin in a crash. Make sure you get belts and a H&N restraint if you don't have them already.

For what it's worth, I bought a GP-5 a couple of years ago, not because it was an Arai but because it was an order of magnitude better fit for my head shape than anything else I tried on. I really didn't want to spend $800, but fit was by far the biggest factor.
