my car additction started with my STI and I have been tempted to the darkside of the Evo but the boy racer looks just kills it for me!

I found an 06 MR for 26.5k at a dealership, I'll have to check it out...

New 06 models have a good lsd. The only problem with the drivetrain is idiots drop the clutch at 6000rpms and something goes kaboom; you do it properly and it will work fine. My only complaint with mine is that the understeer is awful but a rear sway bar fixes that.

ya, i have heard the few issues the car had were sorted on the 9's. of course idiots that abuse the car cause it to have a slightly marred rep but as you said if you take care of it everythings fine. also, i have driven one with a 24mm (i think) rear sway and it was FUN! i was smiling the whole time . this particular car had an apexi rx6 turbo kit so it was much more lively than a stock evo. the rear sway fixes the understeer issue on the sti as well, that thing is much more of a pig than an evo without it!

Just keep it in the garage until the sunday autox/track day.

Or get the Spec.B... the best of both worlds

Personally - I wouldn't go with the 3400S. I would look for a cheap 2000 - 2001 Boxster S if you are going to be make it a track car with a hardtop. 2002 if you want a glass rear window.

I've been looking into the s2000 for a part time daily driver that would be mostly for the track. I used to have a 81 911sc and that car was great. The only down side to it was getting it that way. Had to rebuild the motor and the trans but after that, no problems and it was pure fun to drive.

The boxster is my preference, I am just looking for a good deal and will probably pull the trigger on the best value I can find.
I am going to be selling my 06 S2K fairly soon for a pretty good deal.

PM me for further details,

Josh.
