Cool I'll be at Laguna Seca for those events. Love chasing GT3's. When you see the ugly little blue car come up from behind you I'll be taking the pass on the left. LOL!

With fuel and driver my car weighs about 2100 lbs and it makes about 200 HP. Think of my car as a as 35 year old German made Lotus Elise. Lotus Elises and my car are very well matched on Laguna Seca. Our torque curves are similar too with my high reving low displacement motor I have no torque and have to keep motor over 5000 RPM to get out of corners with any speed.

Dont worry GT3 RS is still far more capable car than my little 914 especially on course like Laguna Seca where you can use all that power. Any car with over 400 HP usually blows my little 914 away on any track. Light weight only goes so far.

friday is 90db day, i have to be in 4th all the way up the hill.

i had exige (not superchaged) 2006 lbs, 1/2 tank no driver. i did mid 1:46's and cant' get any better than that.

what time were you pulling in the 914?

1:43 is my fastest on Kuhmo 710's. I'll be running race slicks this time to see if there will be much difference. Car was also rev limited to 7000 RPM last open track session due to fairly new motor - motor is broken in so I have bumped rev limiter to 7500 RPM. That should give the car a little bit better kick when shifting into the next gear

Here's an in car video from last time I ran Laguna Seca: http://teampirateracing.com/ls2.wmv

Fun day while it lasted. I broke a valve spring in my 3rd session and had to call it quits. I had to lift for sound station too - they got me for 92.8 db on one of my faster passes.
