transmission to handle 1000HP

I am needing to find a transmission to handle my motor in a rear engine car I was told to use the 996 but have since been told it wont be able to handle up to 1000HP any solutions for my build

I was searching the net tonight and found a place who does 800bhp and 1000lbs Just cant find it again If I come across it agin I will post the link. Maybe he can do 1000bhp

Found it. 800ps and 900nm for the 911. Worth a call I suppose?

see that one in tiptronic upgrate but I am trying to stay with a manual trans have been looking and think the G50 from mendeola http://www.kcrtrans.com/mendeola.html
but not sure if the price will be right for it otherwise I will have to run the tiptronic upgrade

That is crazy money. I used to own a 535d with 380bhp+ and 780nm+ no-one in GB could give me a stronger box, but I looked in the US and there were loads of mental power diesel trucks with 1400bhp+ and 2000nm+ Just a case of finding the right supplier, not easy once you get to 1 off type projects.

Good Luck. You are in the best country to help you GB is rubbish unless you follow the crowd. Not my scene

You can start by going with the square cut quarter inch wider gears and have them friction coated.

One thing that Evo owners know is thay HP doesnt fry trannys, its torque.

Well I know a guy own 993 with over 1000HP+ and he still use his stock tranny. But I could be wrong I never look under his car but If I see him again sometime next week I could take a look for you.
