LA to San Diego

Business trip soon, have to drive from LAX to San Diego.

Is the Old Highway in san diego much slower than the freeway?

Dont know if it has stop lights, etc. Was hoping for a nice drive down.

Thanks,
dr

Just stick to the freeway since the back road down where there is one section you need to go thru the ghetto.

405 is normally jammed with traffic and once you get down past San Juan Capo just watch your speed. Really easy to be cruzing 90mph where the CHP.

Cops like to use the shade of the over passes to hide them self's

Drive the old highway back once you are about to leave (if you can). There are a good number of stoplights, at least from what I've been through in Encinitas/Del Mar.

Thanks guys, leaving tomorrow.

Rented a corvette convertible from Hertz and bringing the GPS and radar detector.

Should make the business trip a bit less business.
