What about using the BBS magnesiums Race Designs on a TT. Anyway I could paint or powder coat the center section in black. Any problems with using these wheels on a TT. Can someone photoshop a TT with the wheels. FVD has them, but I cannot link their page.

Are those the magnesium Race Design component wheels.

I am talkinmg about the ones shown that come in gold or silver that are ordered in parts on FVD's website. For someunknown reason, I cannot link over or copy the photo from the website.
If those are the rwace designs, how does he like them. I heard the bend easily, but they are very light weight.

Yes, they are the magnesium wheels but possibly look different because of the black centers. The wheels are 12"x18" rears and 8.5"x18" front with a special offset to accommodate the version of 8 piston calipers he is currently running.
18" wheels were selected because Fred wanted the ability to run more aggressive rubber on the track. The wheels will also work with future modifications to the four corners.

Evan, how much do those weigh. Any other pics of them on 996TTs. I have seen them on the older body styles. Also, do they bend too easily for normal street use on a car that is almost driven on a daily basis. Just trying to get something different and light.

). 18x10(Front):21LBS (Painted Black)
18x11(Rear):22LBS (Painted Black).
The wheels are not made for street driving, so you may run into problems depending on how your roads are...

Doug,
We could also paint the dummy locks in the center to match the wheel, which looks pretty cool... That is how these wheels are... I wish I had my camera here today to take pics...

Why are those magnesium wheels so heavy?
At those weights, getting mag is pointless, especially when BBS makes a "scalloped" aluminum wheel that weighs 13.5 lbs. for the fronts and 15lbs. for the rear.
And also, for the record, Cary Eisenlohr's and Manthey's 1-piece BBS magnesium each weigh only 15lbs.
At 21lbs. I'd rather get Kinesis or Work.
