I got pulled over this weekend and was given a warning for having this plate cover. Anyone know where I can check my state/city laws for the legality of this?
Thanks!

I know that in NJ, you can get ticketed for most frames, let alone covers, for obstructing any part of the plate (even those provided by dealers). Apparently, though, jurisdiction varies greatly by state/county.
Ok. I answered my own question. Holy **** $750 fine for a cover?

Nothing personal, I don't quite understand why people put a cover on the rear plate. You have the whole car exposed and covering the plate is the last thing I worry about. It is not like a rock or bugs going to hit it. In addition, the clear plastic fades out after a while... that looks really bad. Sorry , just my 2 cents.
btw, I believe some places sell spray on for anti-pic.

There probably aren't cameras that takes a picture of your rear plate and sends you a ticket for $100 for rolling over the line in the Bay Area.
