GT3 CUP Forum ?
Why isn't a Cup car forum open on 6speedonline ? I just sold my 997 GT3 and will take delivery of a brand new 997 Cup in December. I am obviously very interested to find relevant informations on these dream machines
well, that makes two of you...j/k...but there are not many cup owners that are active posters...maybe it is time...we shall see how many cup brethen respond to this thread...in the past cup postings have just been in this section...congrats on your new ride...many will express their envy, including me...you will probably find a lot more info on Rennlist (also an IB forum)

It looks like it's not only the "two of me"...
yes, there is adequate interest in applying cup tech/parts to GT3 and RS...unfortunately, I didn't see one cup car owner in that thread...I don't know where everyone thinks the cup car info is going to come from
Yes we have a cup car forum on Rennlist, it's pretty active. There are at least 3 cup cars on this forum though between us
Good luck with your new 3.8 cup, hope to see you on track!!!

Sorry if I didn't give details but it's a 2009, so no 3.8L for me... This is my first real race car and I did only DE and other Clubs lapping days (previous kart racing experience on the other hand) so I will first get used to the car and may be start doing Club Races by the end of next season.
Can't sleep since the order was confirmed...
, congrats on the Cup car!
Wow GT3Techno how did you manage to get a brand new GT3 Cup car?
That's great and I'm very happy for you and honestly jealous.
I thought priority went to race teams with prior history?
Usually one would have to look to buy a race team's retired Cup car.
Hugh congrats and best of luck.

2009 was the only year they have had an extra GT3 cup available as they made too many and the economy has been better. So it's a GREAT time to get one, and the prices they are selling them for can't be beat. The 2010 3.8 car will probably be very tough to get. Good luck and call Farnbacher-Loles if you need any help.

Porsche should consider building more of those cars for the advanced DE market. I'm sure they would sell more cars than they think. That could impact the used market for the racers trading their car for new ones though and the dealers could argue that these cars compete with their street cars market. I was told that all 2010 are sold and that there is already a very long waiting list.
