Lamborghini Diablo Meets Doug Demuro
Lamborghini Diablo is bedroom wall poster that lives up to expectations.
Let’s be honest, Doug DeMuro can be kind of annoying. He’s a love or hate kind of personality, and from what we have seen around the internet, there tend to be a few more haters. So know that we understand how you may feel about the man when we tell you that you need to watch his video about the later 6.0L version of the Lamborghini Diablo.
Doug is his usual self, prattling on in his droning dad voice, but thanks to the quirkiness of the Lamborghini Diablo, we can’t help but become enamored. Doug does a great job showcasing the car and all its idiosyncrasies. From misspelled labeling, utterly useless interior coat hooks, and borrowed Nissan headlights, Doug covers almost every major piece of strange trivia about the Diablo.
There are a few “who actually cares” moments, like when Doug is discussing the rear turn signals, but overall there is a lot to love here. With long looks at the interior and exterior, as well as notes on carbon fiber usage and additional options, everyone we have shown this video to has learned at least one thing. For instance, we were unaware that late-model Diablos offered a nose-lift system for clearing speed bumps.
When it comes to driving impressions, the video slacks off a little bit, but it’s easy to tell that Doug is having a good time. As a previous owner of a 360 Modena, hearing him gush over the sound and power of the Diablo will make all the Lambo-lovers out there feel a little warm and fuzzy. He does go out of his way to bash on the harshness of the suspension and the heavy steering, but overall the man appears to be falling in love.
