Ferrari FXX K Evoluzione Delivers First-Class Eargasms

By -

Coincidence, or did Ferrari plan on testing their newest FXX K Evoluzione after Mercedes-AMG’s Project One unveiling?

Ferrari made headlines around the world after videos of their newest ultra-high-performance car emerged on YouTube. This was just days after Mercedes-Benz unveiled the brand’s latest road-going hypercar, the Project One. Oh, you silly FXX K Evoluzione, we know your timing was somehow perfect.

What a time to be alive. Bugatti smashes the 0-400-0 mph record at the hands of Juan Pablo Montoya, and then Koenigsegg retakes the record days later. Immediately following that, not one, but two hypercars rock the auto world days later. It’s mesmerizing, isn’t it? Now, if only we could afford either one of them!

What’s in a name, especially a letter jumble like FXX K Evoluzione?

As you’d expect, there’s little to no information on the Ferrari FXX K Evoluzione available, yet. Judging by its predecessor, the “normal” LaFerrari-derived FXX K, which was the evolution of the Enzo-based FXX, we know it will have at least 1,050 horsepower, a cutting-edge HY-KERS hybrid-on-demand system, and enough aero technology to boggle a Boeing engineer. We are legitimately thinking, “How the heck can they improve on that?”

Look closely at this awesome video by 19Bozzy92, and you’ll catch a couple of things that might answer that question. For starters, the enormous rear wing towering over the car is the most obvious difference between the old and the new. Also note the addition of a moving spoiler/airbrake in the rear. Both of these elements are put through their paces, as Ferrari’s test driver pushes the mule hard into Monza’s turn one. In fact, so hard, he misses the chicane more than once.

At nearly eight-minutes long, this footage is wildly captivating and thankfully rocks a kick-ass resolution. All you have to do now is turn up the volume, and drool over a machine so wicked, complex, and expensive, that only a handful of people in the world will ever get to call their own.

Enjoy!
