Hennessey Venom F5 Twin Turbo LS Based Supercar Over 300 MPH Top Speed

New Hennessey Venom F5 touts over 1,800 horsepower ferociously stuffed into a carbon fiber chassis that weighs only 190 pounds.

We don’t have to explain to you that Hennessey Performance is a wild company. Their performance packages for cars of all sorts of makes and models push the limits and then some. However, their truly insane skills shine brightest in their own vehicles. Since the original Venom GT’s release in 2011, Hennessey has continued to push the envelope to levels you’d think are impossible. The newest iteration, the Venom F5, is certainly no exception.

The Hennessey Performance website brings us all the juicy details of this ridiculous car. Built around a carbon fiber chassis that weighs in at only 190 pounds, the Venom F5 is surely a rocket with wheels. Its super-light carbon fiber chassis enables an estimated curb weight under 3,000 pounds. That is mind-blowingly light by the standard of supercars today. It even comes in weighing less than the remarkable featherweight McLaren Senna, which weighs in at 3,029 pounds. That certainly isn’t the only figure that beats out the majority of cars in a similar class, though. The Venom F5 has a dyno graph that reads like an automotive video game’s might in that the numbers are so vast they seem unbelievable.

Hennessey Crafts Some Overwhelming Power Figures

How unbelievable? The twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V8, dubbed “Fury,” makes 1,812 horsepower and 1,193 pound-feet of torque. Seriously. The insane numbers this engine puts out are only the bottom of the barrel, though. What is even more impressive is how seemingly endless power band is.

“The F5 engine has a very broad powerband with over 1,000 lb-ft of torque available from 2,000 to 8,000 rpm. Give it the full throttle, and it’s the most furious engine that we have ever built. Thus, we gave our F5 engine a special name: Fury,” states the madman behind the madness, John Hennessey.

Coupled with the remarkable lightweight, the Hennessey Venom F5 is genuinely in a class of its own. Its top speed comes in at an estimated 310 mph. We aren’t sure whose soul is brave enough to put that figure to the test, but we certainly know we’ll be watching when it happens.

Even More Mind-blowing Numbers

If you are anticipating the day you see a Venom F5 cruising the streets, we’ve got some bad news for you. Only twenty-four will be built, and only twelve will be for the US market. Though the reservation spots have nearly been filled according to the Hennessey website, such a limited number means we aren’t too likely to encounter one in person. Don’t get too discouraged, though. If you want to see one for sure, Hennessey plans to debut the F5 at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. Though, Car Week for this year has been postponed until August 2021.

If you’re wondering how much it costs to find yourself in one of these things, the price is pretty lofty, as you’d expect. Their website states that the base price of the Venom F5 is $1.8 Million. Though, we aren’t entirely sure what options are available. It’s relatively safe to assume that the full package, whatever it may be, will be north of $2 million. Additionally, even if you can afford it, you have to be one of the lucky twenty-four picked to own it.

Without a doubt, the Hennessey Venom F5 is one of the most exclusive and crazy cars the world has ever seen.
