Lamborghini Miura S for Sale Features Insane Interior Spec

1969 Lamborghini Miura S with violently blue interior is a rare and extremely valuable collector’s dream.
Many folks consider the stunning Lamborghini Miura to be the birth of the modern supercar. With a mid-engine V12 layout, a range of vivid, eye-catching colors, and unmistakably low, sharp styling, it’s easy to see why. It feels like it wasn’t long ago that a Miura could be had for what wasn’t quite yet “pipe dream” money and was more along the lines of “perhaps someday” for us commonfolk. That ship has undoubtedly sailed. If you could find a nice example for only a million dollars in this day and age, you’d be the luckiest person alive.
For those who can afford to live those pipe dreams, though, there’s great news. This 1969 Lamborghini Miura S is currently available on Bring A Trailer. It’s the first time someone has listed a Miura for sale on the site since 2020, and we’re expecting monumental numbers. At the time of writing, there are seven days left to bid, and the auction has already surpassed $700,000. That’s not the craziest part of this auction, though. That honor goes to the insane interior spec on this particular Lamborghini Miura.
This Miura’s Got the Blues
The exterior of this Miura is the iconic “Miura Verde.” Akin to a tennis ball, this paint job is sure to start an argument among friends about the fine line between yellow and green, despite Lamborghini itself declaring it green. In the case of this car, though, opening the door will quickly change the subject from the exterior paint. There, you’ll find pale blue carpets accenting the bluest leather upholstery you’ll have ever seen. The only sensible way to describe it is with an homage to the cult classic film This Is Spinal Tap. How much more blue could it be? The answer is none. None more blue.
According to the listing, this car was originally delivered in Turin, Italy, before eventually making its way to the States. Bobileff Motorcar Company in San Diego, California, refurbished it in the early 2000s, and it went on to win awards at the Italiano Concorso and the Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance.
It features the very sought-after four-wheel ventilated disc brake option. With that option, Hagerty values it at a cool $2.1 million in “Good” condition. Considering the concours wins, though, it’s safe to say it’s a bit better off than “Good.” We expect this to soar well beyond that number and perhaps even kiss the $3 million mark if the right buyer happens to be following along.

Admittedly, it’s not the spec we would have chosen. Especially for the 1960s, this is a pretty radical color combination. The word “clash” comes to mind. Then, the phrase “above our paygrade” also comes to mind. Perhaps we’re too far off the path of Miura ownership to fully understand the eclectic taste of this car. Still, even a Miura we like a little less than others is a Miura, and we’re going to take any chance we get to gawk at one. We’re excited to see what the hammer price brings on this thing.
