991.2 Porsche GT3 Seduces Area Man

By -

The Porsche GT3 is a wonderful machine of speed, sound, and performance, but does it have enough passion to make you fall in love?

The 991.2 2018 Porsche GT3 is just reaching the hands of their lucky buyers. Youtuber Luke from the channel Cars with Luke is fortunate enough to have a fan who tossed him the keys to a brand new GT3. This is a car most US journalist has not had the chance to drive, so we are a bit jealous. The 991.2 GT3 features a 4 liter flat six with 500 horsepower, the same as the previous GT3 RS. When equipped with the PDK transmission, as the one Luke drives, it does zero to sixty in 3.2 seconds. It has a top speed of 197 mph with PDK and 198 with the manual. The GT3 is a very fast car, but so is a Nissan GTR or a Audi R8. Does it have the ability to stir the soul and the passion to inspire love in its driver?

Luke’s video style is very refreshing. He is a normal car guy who happens to make beautiful car videos. You can see the passion and the skill in the shots. The angles and focus are very cinematic. Compared to other car vloggers, Luke is very calm and down to earth. This natural approach, is what makes his videos enjoyable to watch. Also, he is so natural you can see how much he loves driving the GT3. His smile and expressions showcase the feelings he is having behind the wheel. He is not playing it up or exaggerating his excitement. You can tell he just wants to keep driving the GT3. We can’t blame him either.

The current GT3s are refined, yet raw. The incredible PDK transmission allows you to handle a traffic jam in comfort. Then bang through the gears like a hero on a back road. It is no wonder the media all love it and so does Luke. Give the video a watch and tell us what you think of the 991.2 Porsche GT3 in the comments.
