What you are looking at is a 1968 Nissan Skyline Hakosuka. It was essentially the fastest version of the Skyline you could buy in 1968.

Unlike many of the other cars used in the production of that movie, this one is an actual Skyline; all the others were fakes with Skyline bodywork.

The Nissan GT-R is a hell of a performer. It’s relatively low price and ridiculous stats make it very close to an everyone’s supercar. However, many don’t know that the GT-R nameplate has been around for going on 45 years. To celebrate that heritage, Nissan is launching the 45th Anniversary Edition of the GT-R in Japan.

Love it or hate it, it’s looking more and more certain that Nissan’s next GT-R will be helped along by some form of hybrid motor.
