Wheel upgrade: Fuchs to???

Greetings and Salutations,

I have a 79-911SC with the Fuchs 15x7 pkg; I want to change to the Fikse FM10 set-up.

How easy? difficult? Spacers? Tire-sizes?

Apologies in advance if this topic is a repeat.

Thanks,

- mike

Bolt on, easy, with the correct offset, no spacers needed, tire size depends on the wheel size.

I had a 83 SC and I went to BBS's and fit a 10 wide rear, 8.5 wide front and 17" rims with no problems. I called Wheelenhancements and they told me right away the offset for my car. You may want to check with them. I know they sell Fikse also.

Thanks,

Mike

I also worked with WheelEnhancement when I purchased my 9 x 16 Fuchs. They were great people to work with. Toll free call!!!

There are no "upgrades" from Fuchs.

The Fuchs wheels, while not my cup of tea, are very light and strong.

If you go with Kinesis, Forgeline, CCW, Kodiak, etc. you can have the exact offsets made for your applications in a much more tire size friendly 17inch diameter.

Good luck with your search.

You can also go with the Rota Fox wheels. A modern interpretation of the classic Fuchs, in a 17" diameter and the correct offsets for the SC/Carrera flares. I love mine. www.subydude.com for more details.
