Thumbs up Air cooled Newbie!

I am a current Porsche owner who is looking to purchase a 76' Carrera that I found.

The car is not running right now, he said the fuel pump went out but that it will fire right up on starting fluid.

I don't know anything about these cars other than I love the way they look.

Any help would be appreciated.

I may be in the market to add a '79 911SC. Been browsing here as well looking for areas of concern, tips, etc.

The SC would be a weekend car.

Love the look and sound of the older models.
