Newbie here, thought I'd say Hi
I post a lot on Rennlist and Pelican. Being a 914 owner, and a 993 owner, those seem to be a bit more active in my area.
However, I do browse through here once in a while, and figured the 914 forum was a bit slow....why not say HI....
A bit about me: I own a used car dealership - mostly Porsches - Exclusive Motors in Charlotte, NC. I've been a PCA member since 1993 when we bought our first Porsche - a 1974 914 2.0 that was my wife's father's daily driver. We still have it, but it's been converted to our Club Racer " Papa Smurf" (first picture). 2.2 liter 6 cylinder engine.
For the past 4 years, I've been running the Targa Newfoundland Rally race up in NFLD, Canada. Some of you may have seen it on Speed in the past. The past 2 years, my wife and I entered our other 914/6 GT - "Huey" (2nd pic). We were the first, and still only, 914's ever to compete in Targa. Unfortunately, this year we wrecked pretty badly - flipped end over end on the first day! The video should end up on Speed at some point, probably in Feb or March.
Anyway, we'll be rebuilding Huey in 2008, with the plan to have it ready for Parade here in Charlotte in July.
Anyway, Hi all!

Nope, no injuries at all, though I kinda pulled a muscle in my leg walking across the field after getting out of the car.
The full account of our trials and tribulations will be in the next issue of Autobahn Ambition online magazine http://www.autobahnambitionmag.com/ whenever he gets a chance to finally publish it.....
For now, go to my race team page www.naroescapemotorsports.com and read the news article about it....not good at all....

Are prices that bad on non-six cars? Are you in Cali? Here in the midwest there are good condition cars that come up from time to time for reasonable prices, it seems...
