Hi Guys,

I'm installing a 928Turbosports multi-stage kit on my '86.5 5-speed currently, taking pictures as I go, here's a few for you. Email me if you want specific information.

Y-pipe going on (9 pounds total):

Hanging the water-cooled T67 P-trim Dual Ballbearing turbocharger with oil line attached:

Hanging turbocharger: still has ~5" clearance from ground on 2" lowered 928S

Hooking up the 3.5" cold-air intake plumbing & relocated MAF

Hooking up the Tial 44mm wastegate to the Stainless downpipe (v-bands)

showing the mostly-installed set-up, with oil scavenge lines, water lines, catalytic test-pipe (you can run a proper emissions compliant cat w/air pump too).

Like a champ: haven't touched it since the installation in May, except for fine tuning of the fuel maps. No traction until about 80mph @ 5.5psi.

Turbo Install
Looks interesting!!! What kind of RWHP have you targeted? Any additional heat issues?

Did you put any kind of skid plate over that thing?

I'd hate to hit all that fine craftsmanship on a speed bump or have a stray stick rip out the vacuum hoses...

looks good... interested in the numbers it puts out when done.

Opposite of heat issues: it runs cooler, so did my last turbo 928. I'm putting down about 440rwhp currently at 6.5psi.

My car is very low, I've bumped the system one time (small scrape), but other wise it's fine. All the wiring & vacuum & oil/water lines are routed up high.

How many hours for the install? I'm debating s/c or turbo....

About 3 hours under the hood, about 5 hours under the car: your time may vary, though keep in mind it replaces 90% of your exhaust system too! Only your manifolds remain.

If you go with an optional Dual ballbearing turbocharger, add about 1.5 more hours for the water lines & connections.

Designed to be user-installed in a day or so, $5200 starting price (there are options that can be added like boost controllers, larger turbocharger options, etc)

We had a regional 928 gathering this last weekend: I gave about 10 rides up & down the highway: my brakes were smoldering by the time I was done...funny to see people reach to grab things to hang onto. Lots of fun.

I'll get back on the dyno in a month or so: my fuel presssure regulator had some debris in it that prevented a flat fuel map & appropriate rising-rate under boost.

Very impressive. How is the turbo lag with that set-up?
