Looking at a 930
Looking at a 930
Hello,
I'm a regular on the 996 section as I have a 2003 C4S. I was looking this morning at a listing for a 1988 Slant Nose Turbo with 103k on the clock, new turbo, and new top for 25K negotiable. The interior looks to be in good condition but having only looked at pictures who knows.
Does this sound reasonable? And at this point I don't know if the slantnose is after market but I will find out.
Any thoughts or advice would be helpful.

Received an e-mail from the owner, it is a conversion, how would this affect the price? I'm going to look at it this weekend.

After talking with a few people the factory 505s had more of a curve from the windshield to the nose. I think the low to mid-20s is reasonable for a conversion in good shape. Let us know what you find out over the weekend.
Not true, the fenders look to be steel factory items, bumper is not stock. It's a decent non factory conversion.
If the leakdown test is good, it's a good deal.
Generally a slant conversion is worth less than a stock fender car. A factory 505/6 car commands a 10-15k premium over a like non slant.

Sorry for the delay, he passed, said he was going to hold it for a bit longer.
For what I am seeing, the price is not bad for a clean car. I just sold my 930 to a gentleman in Norway that was partially restored for around that price. Then again, that car had a multitude of high performance mods to boot, so he def got a great deal.

I would think you would be doing really good if you could get it for 23K.
