S2 Issue

Have issue where car looses power intermittently. Immediately thought it was crank sensor, (only one on my car) because I had issue where it behaved similarly once before, but it is not. Problems presents most profoundly after engine is hot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love this car and go to extremes to keep it nice (210K miles)

It's hard to say with out more information, but it sounds like something is overheating. Have you checked out anything yet ?

All engine temps fine. From my limited understanding, a failing sensor will cause the issue. When the engine dies or stumbles the tach dives to 0, leading one to believe a safety fail. I just don't know what other sensors kill the engine for protection when they trip. Is it true that ecu never fails in this way ? ( what I have been told). Also fuel pump, relay and reg. are fine
