There are several independend rumors from sources inside Porsche that there will be no more GT2, since the car doesn't make sense anymore. Regardless how much power, it would be slower than the TTS, because of the RWD.
The car would have too much power to put on the road, according to some people. If you look, for example, at the Ferrari F12, they certainly have a point. A 991 Turbo RS would make a lot more sense... AWD, same engine with slightly more performance and some weight saving (CF roof?).

But rumors remain rumors untill confirmation of course.... There are also rumors that there will be only a GT2 RS. I think the first car that will be launched now, is the GT3 RS. Probably in Geneva, early march.

I've been saying for years we need a Turbo with the GT3 treatment. Turbo RS, Turbo GTS, or just put the turbo engine in the new 960 mid engine chassis.

 

^ I'm in for that! I asked my salesman if I could order my TT with bucket seats and 5-point belts etc... Got a big fat NO.

 

Turbo's daytime running lights look out of place..... It doesn't have a presence... A redesign is good idea... The 997.2 looked much better..

 

begs the question why you buy P cars

to enjoy the drive? or just to show off? just sayin....
