Another TT order placed.

Ordered yesterday from my local dealer, expecting a March build.

991430 911 Turbo 148,300.00

N4 Dark Blue Metallic 0.00

AZ Leather Interior in Black 0.00

342 Seat Heating (Front) 0.00

446 Wheel Center Caps with Full-Color Porsche Crest 185.00

498 Deletion of Model Designation 0.00

541 Seat Ventilation (Front) 840.00

581 Luggage Net in Passenger Footwell 0.00

583 Smoking Package 0.00

630 Light Design Package 510.00

638 ParkAssist (Front and Rear) incl. Reversing Camera 1,035.00

640 Sport Chrono Package 4,090.00

658 Power Steering Plus 270.00

748 Power Folding Side Mirrors 320.00

844 Multifunction Steering Wheel 0.00

P3M Burmester® High-End Infotainment Package 3,500.00

X70 Door-Sill Guards in Stainless Steel 375.00

XFJ Instrument Dials in White 860.00

XSC Porsche Crest on Headrests 285.00

XUV Storage Compartment Lid with Model Logo 330.00

XYE Center Console Trim in Brushed Aluminum 300.00

EEN Brushed Aluminum Interior Package (i.c.w. Leather Int & PDK) 995.00

CGJ Sport Chrono Clock Dial in White 500.00

I wasn't interested in a few things that the TTS has as standard equipment, so I ordered a base turbo. Regarding the horsepower difference, I'll flash it when Softronic or one of the other tuners has it available.

Terrific build. Pretty close to what I would have ordered if I didn't buy a dealer launch car. Look forward to seeing pics.

On your 638 Park assist, has that got to do with parallel parking, or can you just get the rear camera? Then the white gauges...what is stock color, my 07 came with white. In this PDCC pak someone asked about, are not some of the goodies there also included in the sport chrono pak?
Noticed on your order, no dynamic light system . Porsche's LED headlights and lights turn as car turns in corners. For $2340 seems like a good deal for safety if nothing else??
Then the 20" wheels for $3865....these have 1/2 inch more extended tire tread. what are your thoughts on these? I find it difficult to get an option list, but even more difficult to get detailed descriptions of what they are all about. And too was anything discussed on a discount from list price? Noticed for a 'S', a 6speeder reported $9K off. KBB recently reported that with porsches, that there is $20K between factory and list.

1. Standard Turbo gauges are black faced.
2. You can't individually option the rear camera. It's only available with Park Assist (Front and Rear).
3. Turbos have Bi-Xenons with PDLS as standard equipment. Not sure what additional "safety" is afforded by upgrading to PDLS "Plus".
4. The "S" wheels have the same sized tire, it's not "extended". The wheels are 1/2" wider. I don't want the centerlock wheels.

Everything you're looking for, including the detail and cost for options is available on the "Build Your Own" section of the Porsche website.

Thanks for website, but still no real details about PDCC or even your#630 light design package which has apparently more to it than just dimming interior lights. And on 658-power steering plus, I find no details...what does it accomplish if anything?? I'll continue looking.
But on those wider wheels, I saw it somewhere that larger tires with wider treads come with them, think I saw 315/30 for rear. I guess what article was saying you could get wider tires later if that was what you wanted. But if center lock, most say that is a loser anyway for street use.
On the LED-heads, car mags say that the LED gives best light over Xenon, so for safety seems could be good choice. The xenons on my '07 could use a lot of improvement in light spread at nite.
PDCC, what little is said, seems like an anti-roll system of sorts....a bit expensive but I wonder if worth it for street driving?? I guess you thought no....had you researched systems merit or thought it just Porsche fluff anyway. Just something else to malfunction. Descriptions for most of the options I find are all a bit vague. They keep you guessing. I see nothing of antilock differential, so I guess that is standard
now.

Dk blue looks classy.

Does the 498 Model designation delete mean you will have no lettering whatsover on the rear?

It will still say "PORSCHE", and the lettering will be placed about ~1"-2" lower on the rear fascia.

On the "Build Your Own" page on the Porsche website there is an "i" next to each option. You can click on it for more detailed info.

I ordered the center locks and I really like the look. On the street it doesn't make any difference functionally. You have no spare and you are not changing a tire by the side of the road anyway. The wheels are 1/2" wider. The tires are the same size. Lots of options on these cars. Get what matters to you.

Makes no sense for me to get the S wheels...I'll probably put a set of HRE's on the car.

Thanks. It would have helped if I used the 3D option in the configurator.

Noticed on the build-yourself website, that the classic rims for ~$1380 are 1/2 inch wider(9.5 vs 9.0 or 8.5) and also have 'wider' tires. They list 255/40 for fronts instead of 245/35, but did not give size for rears which must be 315/35 i would suppose.
The "S" rims look the best but huge negative with 0ne bolt hookup. Regular turbo rims take some getting used to. Just too spokey. The huge 5 spoke classic wheels take some adjusting too, but with wider rubber may be a good choice.
The classic rims sure change appearance of car with those 5 large silver spokes. However, look is even better painted black for another 1300.

Yeah...my dealer told me that you get more detail when configuring in 3D. It is cool how you see the "PORSCHE" lettering drop down slightly when you select model designation delete.
