To 991 TT, or not to 991 TT

Ok guys.... I am asking opinions.

I have the opportunity to buy a 991 TT that is pretty close to what I would have ordered if I built the car. I would have added some carbon bits, and deleted the script... But otherwise it is pretty damn close. Also, the things I would change, I can always install later.

I am being offered a smoking deal on the new car... I mean smoking.
I am being offered decent money on my trade. Its a fair number for the car, but I am so attached to the car, it is making in hard for me to think about parting with it. However, the more I look at the hips of the 991 TT the more I think bigger is better...lol

My 997 TT is a 2009 and has 3800 miles. It was a highly optioned car. It has a tune and air filter. I have an exhaust waiting to go on. HRE wheels, clear bra, etc...etc...

I love the PDK. It also means my wife can enjoy the car too, as she does not shift.

Guys, help me out. To buy this car, I would trade my beloved 997 TT with the bulletproof 3.6 Turbo.

Plus, it would match the Cab

Mike

Going through a similar scenario as the OP, but with a 991 TT Cab...

Being offered a decent discount and will do a "sell through" with the GT3 for some additional tax savings....

What to do.....

Now that's a much harder decision, as it's not apples to apples. Do (or did) you track the GT3?

I thought my 991 C2S was better than my 07 turbo. I owned both at the same time.
My 991TT is better than by a wide margin.

I may be in the minority, but I say keep it and drive it until you're absolutely tired of it!!! Then you can always upgrade to the latest and greatest.

GT3 is a great car, I'm very happy to have owned it and it will be missed.
Yes I did track it, as I instruct with PCA.... that's where a GT3 REALLY shines.
Street driving only barely scratches it's surface. But after 4 years of ownership it's just not every day friendly enough for me. Plus like the OP says, with PDK, it will give my wife an opportunity to drive if she wishes.

They released in Dec and are just arriving now. This one is a dealer order and just arrived at my dealer last week.
