Laser jammer/shifter

I love my V1 detector. But thinking I need more protection. Anyone using a laser jammer? Which brand and please give your thoughts.

My internet searches say laser inceptor is the best. But I want to hear real life experiences from people that have it and/or other brands

Thanks in advance

I have been using Laser Intercepter in a few cars that I own. Its supposed to be one of the best. I can say from experience it does work. Escort is now using a version built by LI to replace their own shifter packs that integrates with the 9500ci if you want the whole laser/radar package.

So when they laser you - does it just not read a speed for them or does it show some much slower speed?

So no tickets while using?
How many times would you say it has either saved you or just worked correctly (if you weren't speeding) ?

Thanks!

I haven't gotten a ticket in the 2.5+ years that I've been using LI. To be fair, my track record for getting tickets is getting 2 back to back in 10 year intervals. So I've been pretty lucky. Since I've been using LI I've been lazed a dozen or so times. Apparently it give the officer no reading at all on the gun. LI is pretty cool in that it also announces which equipment the LEO is using. I know it works because the laser gun gives an instant reading they laze me for 2,3-10 seconds until I slow down and then turn off the unit.

I'm in the same boat - looking to install a laser jammer to complement my V1. I've been going back and forth between the Laser Interceptor and the Anti Laser Priority (ALP). There are several very heated discussions on which is better on various radar detector forums.

My synopsis is that LI hasn't been updated as frequently as ALP and there are a few new laser guns that ALP can deal with that LI can't. (I.e. LI can jam 93% of lidar currently and ALP can jam 96%). The downside to ALP is finding installers. Just Google 'ALP vs LI'

Which of the many LI units are you using? The pro? Quad?

Thanks

I would always rather go with a company with a good reputation and deep enough pockets to keep research and development moving forward.

If you go with Escort 9500ci Pro kit and then get the rear kit in April, you will be all set.

I'm using a V1 with Escort ZR4 laser shifter. Stealth install in and out and I love it - great protection.

I'm using 3 units all up front....I decided not do do one in the rear as they do not shoot from behind in my state.

Yes, Alot is changing and for the past few years Radar & Jamming technology has been boring but alot is changing and the future should be interesting.
Escort is not licensing the Laser Interceptor for its laser shifting. Though talking to one of the techs at LI the equipment isn't interchangeable. Meaning if you already have laser interceptor you wont be able to connect it through the Escort bridge to connect it to a 9500ci. The wired it differently for the units they ship to Escort

Not according to Cliff at LI....they sell triple kits specifically for front install.

I have disassembled both including the CPU's and they are the same.
I was told they wire the heads differently. But its the same equipment.

Let us know. I was on the phone with my installer LI yesterday. The tech at LI is the one who said they are purposely wired differently so that you could not plug a LI shifter into the pro bridge and have it work. So you your have to buy the rebranded Escort.
