Can you please post a pic of the screen? I was thinking if seeing if one could be installed on my new GT3. What's wrong with it?

Dumb question but is it clean? Happened on other cars of mine and turned out it just had a smudge or dirt on it.

 

Agree with that. Also I was really dumb with one of my past cars and it still had a plastic cover/film over it that I had to remove.

I agree, the camera sucks. The picture is totally distorted (barrel distortion). I wonder if we can replace the camera.

 

I don't feel so bad not having it on my car now... I wonder if its as bad as my R8's camera? That thing sucks big time.

 

Yes but it's still much better than no camera!
Maybe Porsche would/should/could option night vision on the next version!

 

My truck camera works better, I just don't like the lines on the screen, but it does help to some degree. Yup, better than no camera for sure Gunner!

 

I like the arching side-lines on the Pcar camera, they are kinda predictive, but I agree... my F150 camera is much better and way more useful with the centre line for aligning trailer hitches to the ball...not that I expect to be adding a tow hitch anytime soon on the Pcar! LOL

On a separate point, why does the Porsche backup camera stay on after shifting to forward gear and rolling ahead? THAT seems weird!

 

Just put the radio on and it goes off.

 

Seems fine to me. Adequate picture with predictive turn lines. If you want a crap camera check out the $6k Ferrari PoS that displays on a screen smaller than your iphone and has no steering prediction lines...
