White / Red or Basalt Black / Red

Hello all, I have booked my 911 Turbo S with allocation in September. I have always wanted white / red interior until I see basalt / red interior, and it is still not too late to change if I want.

I had never really consider black because I am worried basalt black or any black will be easy to get swirl marks after a few washes and will be noticeable. Now I cannot decide which to go with, but which color combination would you pick? Thanks.

White/red but I'm biased. Very easy to keep clean, as well, definitely compared w/ black.

Nothing beats a Black Turbo? However if you want the red interior I think it would look better with a white car. Otherwise if you go black I'd go with another color interior. Good luck. Tough first world decisions.

i had a jet blk 2012 TTS and it was a bear to keep clean. I have had my new basalt blk/blk&red TTS for about a month now and the basalt blk is much easier to maintain given the metalic sheen. i was skeptical to get black again but my sales guy told me basalt is much easier to maintain and he was right. you can see in these photos the difference in the color when it is exposed to light.

Get a full paint protection wrap and you won't have to worry about swirl marks on any color.

Tough one - first world problem to be sure. Are you doing black/red interior or full red? I almost bought a white on black/red off the floor but the spec was not bang on.

Basalt on red or red/black looks sensational but we live in Vancouver so.....white.

I went with GT silver over red/black - two weeks out!

Cheers and good luck with your deliberating.

I will go red / black not full red. I think the black / red defines the interior much better. Mines does not come in til december, long wait. We get a lot of rain here and I am concern black is difficult to up keep and white seems like a good decision.

White is tight. Motorsport colour as well. Are you in West Van?

White w/ black/red would be my vote. White just looks good on Porsche. Black would be my second choice but maintaining it sucks...

For me it would be black exterior and anything but red interior. I don't think resale would be nearly as strong as tan or even black. But, it's your car and you are the only one who can choose. Good luck either way.

I have a basalt black 997.2 TT and it is much, much easier to keep clean compared to regular black. I was not expecting this to be the case but it really is. The metallic flakes in the paint help quite a bit. Also, basalt is amazing in the sun. It is so deep and rich. I get comments all the time on the color. I have ZERO swirl marks. The front half of my car has clear wrap but otherwise the paint is exposed.

I noticed from you signature your 991 turbo s is matte riviera blue, mind showing us some pictures of the car? I have always love that blue on a 993, curious to see how that would look on a 991 turbo s.
