Why are our options so limited when it comes to "significantly" improving the performance of our 991's ?

 

I wouldn't be disappointed. A 991 turbo S is capable of a sub 3 second 0-60 mph and ~10 second qtr mile off the showroom floor. Like the previous generation turbos, give it a little time and there will be plenty of options for modifications. You could start with an exhaust and tune and see where you might stack up against a similar modified car.

 

I read that e63 has 800hp + .Try a full exhaust , ipd plenum and a giac tune on the 991 TTS. Lets not forget that e63S 4matic are 150k cars here in germany

 

I have much respect for those AMG motors. I still miss my E55. 11.775 @ 118.69 stock on Michelin PS2 street tires. Back then, it was mighty fast for a factory sedan.

 

Agreed, nothing to be disappointed about. With enough money, you can modify any car to beat any car. Stock for stock you win.

 

As stated, the car is an AWD machine with way more hp---- its one of one while each Turbo S can do 0-60's at 2.6 to 2.8 handsfree all day everyday. The stock E63S AWD with 577hp (or something close) runs a 3.2-3.4 zero to 60 time depending on which mag you read so that much hp and tq (the modded car) will assist it in beating a stock TT-S.

Guys, a couple bolt-ons and your 991 Turbo will turn the tables on the upgraded turbo E63S.

I have a 997.2 which shares the same motor and trans as your 991. I have a GIAC tune, IPD plenum, BBI catted exhaust and Champion intercoolers. All of these products are (or shortly will be) available for the 991.
