Treviso is infamous around these parts

These cars suffer the same depreciation as any other car, phone, watch, whatever the luxury item. As 2014 was the first model year of the 991 Turbo, you can expect new issue problems as reflected in 5-6 campaigns (already!) for 2014's.

Now back to the topic: has the originator of this post formulated the options list that suits his fancy and did he get a car yet?
To answer your question: not yet. My local dealer here offered me 5% discount on ordering a new 2015 and actually said it was the biggest discount ever offered! Here in Michigan, Porsche dealers must starve in the wintertime (outside of their SUV sales). Our season is so short and few 911 owners actually drive them in the snow with all of the salt and junk they drop on the roads...I would think that they would want to play ball, but they just hold their ground pretending that we buyers don't know we can go out of state for a better deal. Unfortunately, I am having a tough time finding anything. On my 2012 Turbo S Cab, I was fortunate to find a loaded up MINTY MINT car with only 500 miles on it and saved quite a bit. I should have kept her...

What I am looking for is:
Turbo S Coupe
Dark Blue Metallic, Black Metallic, or Silver exterior
Black heated/cooled 18 way seats
...everything else, I am willing to compromise on. I'm easy:-)

I am not sure what you are telling me here? I bought a lemon? There was no "collision". The front and rear bumpers were replaced due to a parking mishap is what I was told. I don't see any way to tell anything was wrong with the car and the Carfax only dinged the car for $900 based on the issue. So what is wrong with the car?

Yes it's the first year of the series but how long has Porsche made the 911?

ETA:

The biggest reason for my car being such a good deal is that it sat on the dealers inventory for a month. I watched the same thing happen with several other cars earlier in the year. There was a really nice Guards Red TT that was priced 25k below MSRP with 1600 miles on it at Autobahn. They put that one out at 159k to start and it was optioned up to where it was basically a TTS but it sat for 6 weeks. The never lowered the price again on the internet but I suspect it sold for around $150k. Another one like mine showed up at Plano about a month ago. It was Rhodium silver with black interior original MSRP 192k and had almost identical options to mine with 3k miles on a 11/13 build date. They started it at $179k and lowered it to $165k before it finally dropped off the listings. My bet is it went for $160k. It could be the color combination because it had CL wheels which most people seem to prefer but the Turbo I wheels are my favorite and is one reason why I bought mine. The longer a car sits, the cheaper it gets.

I like your approach! You will certainly be ready to get a better discount if you are not too set on options/colors like WRS mentioned in his post. There are some great deals out there on slightly used cars. I received just under 4.5% off MSRP for my new 2015 that I purchased on site and out-of-state. I know I left money on the table because the "I have to talk to my sales manager" BS was never brought up in the conversation.

As for winter, my car will NOT be a 6-month garage ***** (or queen)!

Before...

After.... Note the battery maintainer is absent!

These tires work in cold weather whether the pavement is dry, snowy, or icy.

I love Fall drives (as shown above) but I also look forward to posting some winter photos soon!

HRE Flow Forms on Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4s

Yep, the rims are HRE Flow Forms (FF01). I did not want to spring for forged wheels for winter duty, so the cheaper flow forms are a good choice. Initially I ordered 20" matte black Avant Garde (Ruger Mesh) rims, but they did not clear the front brake calipers! There was not a chance of me plus-sizing a winter rim and having even less sidewall profile, so I lucked out the second time when these FF01s fit.

On a side note, the OEM Turbo rims are cast aluminum and are less expensive and lower quality than the OEM Turbo S rims. That is the one downside to swapping to the 5-lug pattern OEM Turbo rims that adorn my car. The weight difference between a forged rim and a cast rim is substantial-- several pounds lighter at least 3 lbs/rim?

We should not have to give up quality/weight savings for the functionality/convenience of 5-lug pattern rims. There I said it.

Thumbs up Quick Silver

My car is GT Silver which is brown-ish and I love how the black/garnet red interior coordinates with it. Espresso leather would also look great with GT Silver. I think Rhodium Silver is a better match for black and yachting blue interiors IMHO.
