Break-In Trip to Deal's Gap

Played around some good roads to get to know our car first weekend of October. Killboy snapped a few good pictures of us. Here's one;

Stayed at Historic Tapoco Lodge and would highly recommend it. Great parking on asphalt, awesome food and wonderful service.

I would like to know as well as these are some "down the road" mods after I get the engine beefed up. I seem to remember that the OP had those mods installed by the dealer before delivery though.

Yes, can't compare to stock as I took delivery of car with TechART springs and 21" tires on car. I have not driven a stock turbo. However, both my wife and I think it rides much better than our '13 C2S on H & R springs and stock 20" tires. Other than the increased potential for a blown tire from pot hole and such, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this spring / tire set-up to everybody.

Oh those long trips!

Before all of the cold and the snow around here I was fortunate enough to complete a 2200 mile trip from Cleveland out to Virginia and then up to Minnesota.

What a car! My only gripe was the drone sound when I cruised at 2,000 rpm (approximately 75 mph). It sounded like uncle Ernie blowing across an empty bottle just behind my ear! An aftermarket exhaust will be on the mod list.

Anyway, 2200 miles in a week is just what I needed. I sought out a few excursions in the Appalachian mountains just to break it in

Here are a few pictures. The whole front end and rocker panels are covered with Expel Ultimate, and that is the only mod at this time. Winter wheels get mounted tomorrow and I cannot wait. There is nothing worse than parking this car for a full week.

On the campus of West Virginia University

In the middle of Wisconsin at a rest stop. This state had more troopers per mile than any other!

That magical moment when you can begin using launch control!

We need more roads like this!

I found the same annoying drone with the stock exhaust on my TT as well. Love the Uncle Ernie analogy!! I installed a SharkWerks exhaust and it all but eliminated that hwy drone, and sounds better all round.
