They are running faster than US because they all have the water/meth kit and that does help allot.
other than the fact that they are running stronger 60fts with drag radials.
i guess USA tuners need to try full boltons including meth and race gas with drag radials and then argue.
That way the comparison will be fair i guess although tracks here are at sea level and very well prepped.

 

Umm, I think the article explicitly explained why the purported times were faster than comparable US times... they weren't accurate. It's not a matter of meth, drag tires, etc. when improperly calibrated testing equipment is used. That's why the imprimatur of an independent testing organization such as the NHRA is necessary.

You will see "Danny Garcia" from NHRA speaking about the track and the records.

 

Emre, Thanks for the clarification. You would have to agree that the 140 mph + trap on the 991 is a bit laughable considering the stated mods. You know how much work goes into a car to increase its 1/4 mile trap time by 5 mph increments. Have these 991's with the suspect times backed them up at the track that you are talking about ?

the track you claim to have had issues was yas marina abu dhabi....
bahrain tuned esmotor 991tts car ran 9.6@143mph and the article doesnt state that bahrain track has an issue or problem?

i ran my car several times but didnt get great 60fts because i am running on stock tires but i ran 10.5@135 with a 1.8 60ft several times and ran best run with 1.7 60ft but ran 10.5 again offcourse these were back to back runs car was hot. video on youtube
with 1.4 or 1.5 i would run low 10s but my car only has tune module and exhaust with race cats stock headers.

 

What does the tune module look like? Anyone have a pic?
