The relentless well below freezing temperatures for the last 5-6 weeks plus the 8 feet of snow is historic and a major pain. When we have gotten blizzards in the past there usually is an interval of above freezing weather an the accumulation sublimates and melts before the next big snowfall, but not this winter.
Anyway, I have gotten clear road opportunities about a day a week or so during this nightmare to keep the car charged and lubricated with hour long drives. This weekend will be sunny or only overcast and above freezing. Still may take the PGTS up to Danvers for the PCA ground school tomorrow. Still sand and salt on roads because no big cleansing rain.
Was in San Francisco all week on business and it was clear and in the high 60's low 70's during the day and not unpleasantly cool at night. What stood out was that every car was clean, unlike here where every car has salt dust or dirt on it. No question a good place to be if you like to drive. Los Gatos is even better, as the micro-climate is much more moderate than SF and the roads nearby are excellent. SF is great if you live in the city or do not have to commute into the city very far. Now, of course, the real estate is way up and if a few mil is no problem, one can get a decent place in the city.
Anyway, the declination of the sun may not mean very warm weather in MA anytime soon, but at least we should escape the relentless freezing weather as it gets higher.

Will definitely get the TTS out today!

The terrible winter weather has absolutely destroyed the roads in the New York City metro area. Potholes/craters everywhere. I had to take a 140 mile round trip drive from Staten Island to Darien, CT today and was happy I took my E63 S and not my 991 TTS. Such huge potholes. Didn't want to blow a tire/bend a rim.

I got up earlier than normal for a Sunday and went out for a "spirited" drive on the NJ Turnpike. It felt good to let her stretch her legs after sitting for so many long stretches in the garage over the winter.

I got out today with dry relatively clear roads. Definitely felt good to be connected again.
