Car & Driver test
Car & Driver test
Excellent review in current C&D. Car gets faster with more miles, test car has 7000 plus miles. 0-60 in 2.5, 10.6 quarter at 130. Great times for stock Turbo S.

I'd guess it is a 2014, as it had 7000 plus miles on it. Great performance.

Does it give us a clue about where the testing was done, I'm thinking it has to be near sea level and conditions almost perfect. That is just an incredible level of performance for a stock car.
Article says it took place in California, avoiding major highways, driving in the canyons. That's about as specific as it got. Cars weren't driven on a track, all driving was done on public roads.
C&D is available if you subscribe to the online version. Read it on my iPad earlier this week. Except for the slalom where the Z06 was faster (they ran the TTS with P Zero's, not R compound tires, so it was definitely handicapped in the slalom) the TTS was dominant. The comparo was a bit of a setup because if they factor in price as heavily as they did of course the Z06 is lower. The GTR, however at $150k did not elicit kind commentary in the C+D article.
To me they should put the TTS up against the Huracan, MC 675 LT and the Ferrari 488 GTB. Of course the TTS cannot pace these cars above 120, but with R compound tires would not be embarrassed on circuit times or 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.
It would have to be favored as by far the best value, but the mags would pick the most extreme and expensive car, despite its price/performance characteristics as the winner. A bit hypocritical IMO.
Of course, the scribes would also make mention of the vacuum cleaner exhaust note and lack of drama with the TTS and say they like, but do not love it. That is the point to me about the TTS. Outrageous performance without boy racer drama either in appearance or sound. And it is far more practical if one wants to do any touring at all.
