Looking at new TT or TTS Cab

Hello all. I currently have a Panamera and I am currently looking for either a TT or TTS Cab. I've searched around on cars.com for both used and new but cannot seem to find one in the configuration I would like (red with black leather, sport steering wheels, Burrmeister, PDCC, Sport Chrono, keyless access). If I were to go with special ordering one with my local dealer, would I be able to negotiate a better price? I have hear people getting on average 10% off of their 991's when taken off of the dealer lot. Will this 10% work with ordering one?

Funny I may be selling mine, of the things you mentioned it does not have a sport steering wheel or burmeisters. But it is guards red on black!

My dealer just told me that I would have to deposit $15,000 to place an order for a new TT cab. Is this right?? I thought deposits for new orders were only $1000 or so.

It can range. For custom orders that they feel might be harder to sell due to options selected it can be higher. It was 10k for me when I had an order for highly optioned 911 4s. I had been quoted 5k from other dealerships. I guess it would be expected for TT and TTS allocations to require higher deposits.

I recently purchased a TTS cab 2015 ordered in September of 2014. Traded in a 2009 turbo that was paid for and the dealer still wanted 10K at signing. I thought it was weird but i wanted to pay off a large chunk off prior to receiving the car to assure I would have a low payment. Before my 2009 turbo the most expensive car I bought was in 2004 when I bought a 48K toyota sequoia. What do know??? I guess thats how these custom expensive dealers have to do it to assure the buyer has skin in the game??

I have a Turbo S Cab on a ship with over 35,000.00 of options. Not a car that a dealer would want to be stuck with this close to the '16s coming out. No Deposit. Depends on your relationship with your dealer.
