911 turboS vs Audi R8 V10 plus

I was thinking about getting a 911 turboS but I drove my neighbors new Lamborghini huracan and was blown away by the sound, handling and whole package. Now I wonder if I should get a new Audi R8 or maybe a used Gallardo (I don't want to spend close to 300k for a Huracan). Has any one had the R8 or the Gallardo? Any thoughts/input? Thank you.

Use the search function, it has been discussed. There have been several members that have made the switch from a Audi R8 or had a Gallardo.

I had a 2012 R8 V10 non-plus for 2 yrs and it was not memorable. IMO there is no comparison except it gets "looks and stares" but so does the Turbo S but not as often.

After a few months I got bored with it and lost some bucks on depreciation.

I was wondering how often someone posts in a say car X forum asking about or how they like car Y and you get that many folks liking car Y, seems silly to me.

You post in a Turbo/S forum asking about people with R8 or Lambo experience, like anyone is going to tell you the R8 or Lambo was better than their Turbo/S.

So what are the chances of me heading over to the R8 forum and asking how many people own and really like their Turbo's. I am sure they all love their R8's.

Traded my 2013 Gallardo for my Turbo.

Honestly, the ONLY things I miss are the sound of the V10 and the looks.
IMO the Gallardo was a good looking car. Not many cars can last 10yrs and still be considered a looker.

BUT, other than that the Turbo is a better car in every way. I DD my car, and for comfort, features and all round performance, the Turbo is by far the better car. Can't comment on the Huracan, as although I have sat in one, I have never driven it.

Good luck with your decisions

Scar

Thanks for all the replies. As for above, I know and thought the same thing but I just wanted to hear it from another porsche lover like myself. My DD is a 2014 PTTS and its been great.

I wanted a gallardo for the longest time. When I finally could and went shopping, It was ridiculous for my 6'3" frame. I wound up keeping my TT and got a Maser GT to go with it.

Pretty nice combo show & go.

I say TT...
