Nice find. What I don't get is if Porsche wants their cars to be the best they can be, why are these not standard on at least ALL 911s, Caymens, & Boxsters. $$$$$$ maybe? We have 3 P-cars and all have all of the available chassis options. They make a difference in normal driving. Not just on the track.

 

Don't have PDCC on my PGTS and it is noticeable on the road, but since I do not execute extreme cornering on the road I do not need it. It would no doubt make a difference in extreme cornering on a track. As for the question about Porsche not fitting all its cars with PTV, SC and PDCC, it is clear to me that it is simply a marketing strategy. Some buyers just do not need those features and the cars are less costly for them without those features. The thing that is notable about all Porsche's is their respective capabilities at the limit that most owners never plumb, so will never really appreciate.

 

The PDCC makes a huge difference in the comfort of the passengers when taking curves at any decent speed.

The PCCB revolutionizes braking under any condition.

You don't have to be on a track to appreciate and utilize the advanced features.

 

Have had my '15 991 TTS for nearly a year and have road and track experience with PTV, SC, PDCC and PCCB's. Road mileage about 7k and track about 150 miles. Yes, I appreciate these features on the road, but do not truly utilize them at legal speeds. PDCC is not that noticeable on the road in most normal situations. I do not speed on public roads. PCCB's are phenomenal and so far extremely durable, notwithstanding the frequently expressed forum opinions about their rapid wear on track. The reality is that my PGTS is an exceptional road car even without PCCB or PDCC. I have driven a Pan TS at Barber and it is a beast. Corners and stops amazingly well for such a heavy car. If I tracked a PGTS, it would have to have PCCB's (with front wheel well liners removed) and PDCC.

So, I do not agree with shifter about the huge difference that PDCC makes for driver or passengers on the road. Of course, it is only like my opinion man. My comments are based on a total of about 15k miles between my two cars over the past year or so. Fact is that we are arguing about the number of angels on the head of a pin when discussing PDCC, as all Porsche's perform quite well.
