But just as importantly, if the GIAC Stage 2 plus tune works as promised for the intercoolers, no more aggressive cutting back boost at high Rpm's which is just as important as peak power. I mean when I launch, I absolutely feel it is vicious out of the hole but then by about 80 or 90 and certainly by 100 acceleration starts dropping off pretty quickly.
Correct. My understanding is that this thing will produce about 600 wheel horsepower or 700 crank hp on 93 octane which is a gain of about 140 hp over stock.

I certainly do think with this latest set of mods we will probably be bumping up against the outer limits of the stock turbos (absent adding something like water/meth injection or nitrous which I would never have in my car).
I do think that once these mods are installed, any further power increase will require something much more dramatic like a turbo upgrade. I know that Champion is developing one now and is testing/dynoing/datalogging it but my guess is that the release is months away.
I do know that Champion and GIAC have been working on this upgraded ICs/upgraded tune package for a very long time (since last year) and have done very extensive testing and datalogging for many months. This was not a product rushed out to market to try and race to catch up to someone else's competing product before proper testing/data logging and verification was done. And frankly as someone who really wanted it I've been quite frustrated by how long the process has taken but the results will almost certainly be worth the wait.
That being said, I'm sure I'll take it to an independent dyno shortly after I get my car back--probably the same shop that confirmed that my car was suffering from severe heat soak issues on GIAC Stage 2. Also, the results/gains will also be tested and proven (or, hopefully not, disproven) when I take the car with these new mods to meets.

For my understanding the other company that are making "IC's Tune packages" is ByDesing & COBB and for sure they are not rushing anything to finish the package, they also have long days working on this.
Just to keep clear the point you just say... maybe you are reffering to other company that are working similar packg?

installed new Champion inter coolers, i can definitively feel the difference!
Running 100 Oct in race tune mode at PBIR road course yesterday the car now feels more lively at all speeds. The new GIAC tune seems now to match Champions inter coolers perfectly. Iwill detune the car back to 93 this week and let you know!
also, may go to Renntech and dyno car on their new Mustang 4 wheel Dyno.

However, I can tell you that strictly going from Stage 2 to 2+ on his car, adding only the intercoolers and revised software, the car picked up 30hp and 44tq at the wheels...on 93 octane pump gas. I think that if he had a cat-less exhaust we'd see slightly higher numbers, but in the interest of keeping his neighbors happy, we're sticking with cats on his car. Overall I think it's a nice improvement.

While it is true that the gain in peak horsepower in my car is about 30 and in wheel torque is 44 that does not tell the whole performance story.
Specifically, there are points in the rev range where the gap between the horsepower and torque produced by the new ICs and GIAC stage 2 plus tune and the GIAC stage 2 tune is as much as 50 wheel horsepower and 64 wheel torque in my car. That is huge. Also, as I had hoped for, the gap between the power produced by this new GIAC stage 2+ and the stage two is quite large at the higher RPMs. This is clearly, as GIAC promised, the Stage 2 plus tune not aggressively dialing back boost and timing and high rpm's as it does with the stage 2 tune and stock intercoolers to protect the intake air temperatures from getting too high.
Champion did not get a chance to test the Tubi catless race exhaust on my car versus the my europipe because they didn't have one in stock. That is a test I definitely want done.
As to whether my car's heat soak at events is gone I will take it to events and let you know what happens.
My sense is with the Europipe Versus Tubi catless I am leaving something like 35 wheel horsepower on the table. But there is no question that the europipe exhaust is quieter in terms of sound levels but still lets you hear turbo and wastegate noise and popping in sport and sport plus on letting off the gas.
I Won't post the Dyno graph of my car in until Champion formally releases their upgraded intercoolers with the GIAC stage 2+ tune. But I will share a few things.

It all sounds really good, can't wait to get mine. The next 1/2 Mile races I'm in the exotic class and this is my competition 1-MP12C 1-650s 1 F-12
1-huracan 1-Longboarder ( Adam ) and a P-1 So we will see how the tune compares ( I lost to Adam by 3 cars last time) as long as I can get it and have it installed in time, Tom when are you releasing data and my order? It's been really soon now for awhile? Does the IPD plenum fit?

I also had champion install the FVD headers and dyno hem. Unfortunately they lost both power and torque relative to stock headers. And they lost massive amounts of horsepower and torque at lower-midrange RPMs. Needless to say I am not using them and went back to stock headers. To me those headers are a complete waste of money at least with a GIAC tuned 991.
