2017 carrera faster then a 2016 carrera S ?

There are no TT 911 base models that can remotely keep up with a 991 TT...so all the clamor?
I have a Macan (3.6L) Turbo. It is leaps and bounds quicker than the Macan (3.0L) S (also turbo).
I would expect that each new generation (or sub generation) would gain some advantage over its predecessor, and make it faster, better, more efficient etc...
The 2025 Carrera S will be faster than the 2016 TTS.
A 2017 911 is quicker than a 2016 911, period.
The End

Yeah funny how some things have developed more rapidly through new age engineering and technology while other industries haven't really transformed as rapidly. As a car enthusiast hopefully that won't happen in my gen or my Future children as well ; I'm fine not flying in my gen, keep that for my grandkids
What 911 doesn't sell well, people even came around on the bangled 996, heck I even love it, but only 10+ years later probably due to mostly nostalgia. He new 911 will be fun, better overall package and better in some tech ways and worst in nostalgic soul categories. Pick your poison or keep your current less than or equal 991.1

Not necessarily the right thread, but it gets me thinking. Isn't the 991.2 S faster than the 991.1 GTS? That will cream the used value of that car. Also, it will stand to reason that the 991.2 GTS will be screaming hot. Perhaps faster than a 2015 GT 3. That will be interesting.

On March 1st I purchased my 991.1 TT .... I really love this car ( 2015 leftover ) 18 miles ... However I am looking for another 911 to keep as a " garage when" I was thinking maybe a " 2015 CLUB COUPE" where as we know only 60 were built ... What do you guys think

Honesty at legal pedestrian speeds isn't the 991.1 S or gts with sport package almost as fast as a 997.1 turbo? I think I read 11.5-11.8 somewhere for 997.1 turbo and 11.8-12.1 for 991.1 S?
