Yes, its true as a matter of fact from 0-60 the 2017 Carrera S is faster than the 2016 GTS, and this was confirmed in an email to Porsche when I was on the web site at the Carrera quick link and saw the S numbers faster than GTS, and asked the question was it a mistake. See message below.

The 2016 Carrera GTS is faster than the 2016 Carrera S, so if the 2017 Carrera S is faster than the 2016 Carrera GTS then its faster than the Carrera S.

 

Oh gosh, has this what the turbo forum has become...these 2017 lesser models thinking they can hang with the big boys.

So what happens to the turbo forum when all Porsche models from 2017 and beyond are Turbos? Do we create a big turbo and little turbo forum

 

I posted on that a while back. We continue saying are cars are the big turbo's & suffer horribly on the depreciation!

 

Cars are depreciating assets. They are not investment grade products...save for a very few - if you were lucky enough. Bottom line - you gotta pay to play!

Hard to argue with that......
