2014 Turbo vs Turbo S physical differences
2014 Turbo vs Turbo S physical differences
Looking to buy my first turbo soon and noticing about a 10-20k gap in S to non S values. Is there any reason to not just buy a regular turbo then use a cobb accessport or is the turbo S really that much better of a car? This will be just a road car, no track duty.
I assume you're talking about a 991.1. It's all in the options. PCCBs, PDCC, CF interior trim, 18 way seats, etc are all standard on the S. All are available upgrades on the Turbo, you just have to check the build sheet. Whether or not the differences are worth it to you is your call. With an aftermarket tune, both run the same.
Gatti good advice here already. Purely a HP answer, yes a tune will get you to the S and more. The cars area the exact same with the S having a different tune. Everything else is the options. Most are options on the non S while the S has them standard.
Good luck in your search. Oh yeah and get your tune from Sambo, best in the world.

You will get all kinds of folks chiming in (personal preference) but I think there are a few must have options if you get a non S.
Must have - sport chrono, premium pkg plus
Really nice to have - Burmester (I have the Bose and it sucks), Carbon fiber interior
Personal preference and you will get people for days arguing but I would not get the PCCB's if you are on a budget. Center lock wheels are also not on my list.

1000% on sport chrono.
I definitely agree on premium pkg plus and Burmester. Even if you're not an audiophile.
Honestly PCCBs are worth the money. There's nothing that stops like them. Only don't get them if you like cleaning brake dust from your wheels every other day.
