Had a 2007 997 turbo for 10 years, great car. The new Turbo S 991 is a whole different animal. The 991.1 is much faster, stops better, handles better. I really like the wide rear end. I like every thing about the new Turbo S 991. With a tune and exhaust, not much is going to touch this kind of performance.

Regarding PCCB, it is worth it just for keeping the wheels clean imo. However, I would never track a car with ceramics. It's just too expensive, especially on a 10 year old car out of warranty as is my case.

PCCB are fantastic for the street. They bite hard and slow the car down which is needed with a car putting down this kind of power. The unsprung weight per corner makes the car handle even better. Personally I have had both the steel and the carbon rotors and prefer the carbon on the street.

if i had to pick/keep only 1 sports car and drive it in most weather it would be a 991tt.

ive driven the 991tt several times, probably 300 miles total. Its a "meh" car for me. A stock 997tt is boring also. A Modded 997.1 6sp is on a different planet. I have a bunch of cars and my modded 997.1tt (very close to gt2 spec) is my #1 car of all time. But yeah i dont drive it unless the weather is nice and no long road trips.

if it matters manual 997tt will keep going up and up $ and 991 will drop. There will be a point where an old 997.1 manual will be worth more than a used 991tt. IMO nobody will remember the 991 down the line (kind of like the 996).
