I am about to purchase a 2018 911 Turbo S. I've read most everything I can find on the car, but I'm unable to determine the interplay, if any, between the boost button and the launch control. Specifically, are the extra horses provided by depressing the boost button automatically dialed in when you select Sport Plus and go through the launch control sequence or do you have to push it just before launching? Any input would be appreciated.

 

In all the times I have launched my car - I haven't been anywhere near the boost button. really only hanging on. Basically that button is for spirited driving or passing. Nothing to do with launch from what I have experienced.

My current ride is a 2017 991.2TTS.

 

Thanks, Spatia. Nice ride. I too am opting for the AeroTek kit. I have to wait 3 months to get it, but its worth it.

 

Boost is when you're driving normally and want to really punch it. It will automatically put you in sport plus with the ideal gear and boost. Launch control already does that.
