For those of you that dont know, and many that do, Sam Ahdoot at ByDesign, is the MAN!!
Sensei Sam has been working with me for sometime now. Sometimes he is just giving me advice, and other times trying to help me figure out issues with my car.
Most times, just because he is a cool guy and really knows and loves these cars....
In the most recent issue with my car, Sensei Sam outshined my Porsche dealership "mechanic" who had their hands and computer on the car.... while Sam was more than 2000 miles away and just heard about the issues from text and telephone.
The car is stage 4, the dealership argued it was stock.... and even still when I mentioned what I wanted certain things checked.... I do not believe they really checked those things....
Sam told me he feels the issue is the car being on the wrong tune. The car being stage 4 was running a stage 3 OTS Cobb tune with OEM+ PDK... Sam walked me through everything, and in the end I reset the codes, realigned the transmission, and installed a stage 4 tune from Sensei Sam and the car is a beast again. Sam taught this car how to do the Crane Technique
We are now watching it, per Sams request before we go any further... just to make sure the issues dont pop back up. But when he is comfortable with the way the car is running, we are going to have it use that Crane Technique at the All Valley Karate tournament against Johnny :-P
Sensei Sam really is a great guy and definitely A++++ in my book.
What amazes me is that even though he is a "business", he doesnt act like one. He acts like a great guy with tons of knowledge about the 991 turbo who loves the cars and getting them to go fast and the joy of the owner when it does.
And in the end I also learn alot too about these cars.
I have told him before.... I am so glad he is out there for us :-)
