Hmm...nice vids...but somehow the car doesn't look that good. Still small nd beetle-like, no doubt it drives like no other. The rear has been fixed, but the front still needs a lot of work; bug eyes, needs a more sloped windshield, broader track.

Not a bad start though. Doesn't look as good as a gallardo or even an aston martin, which isn't too much bigger. Kind of looks like a refreshed 997.

Still going to be the best driving thing that value/$$ can buy.

Here is a very good looking Porsche/probably one of the best looking cars ever made; if Porsche makes the 911 or Cayman look like this, its game over:

Exactly. Damned if they do and damned if you don't. It is getting really annoying. If you don't like the car, don't buy it. Plain and simple.

No harm in some open debate about the aesthetics though.

Desire: For the 911 to look and have the aesthetic curb appeal of a Ferrari, not a 1960's frog-eyed car..if not that, then at least an Aston Martin or R8.

Reality: Far from it. A well rounded car drives well, sounds good, and looks good...its not all about performance; you need balance. Satisfy all the senses.

Rest is all good with the car. Performance, badge etc. All good.

New DRLs look cool - no more Christmas light "dots" - that will drive all the 997.1 converters crazy reconverting.

A10ACN is infamous around these parts
Saw/Heard it today. I've seen them on the road over the past few months with the tape and fake turbo stickers but today I heard a great engine sound coming down the hill, I turn to catch a 911, a mod body 911 with some weird rear lights?? Nope. Caught in traffic, I could clearly see the new rear. Black. Best sounding thing today on the road but that's not saying much with the MBs shutting down and restarting at the lights and the rest of the muffled econos.
Analysis: The guys who love anything new from Stuttgart will love it. The old stick-in-the-mud traditionalist guys will ***** about it from every angle. In the end, its here and nothing we can do about it. I'm sure it will create mountains of paper and electrons galore with drippy comments about 'best handling Porsche EVER' but it still won't be a wound tight air cooled or a throttled GT3.
Yep- I'm a mud and stick guy.

Speaking of the 918. I'm hoping the 991 Turbo or GT3 gets that front diffuser.
