nice vid to compare both colors, which one would you prefer personally?

 

Both look great. The reservation I have with red is that it does not contrast with the rear light clusters. The new rear lights are one of the the biggest differences between the 991 and the 997. I'd like to highlight that rather than hide it. Aqua blue for me.

Agree w/ sapster on choosing a color that would contrast the tail lights. Silver, black or even better aqua blue would look great. Hard to pass a judgement on the ruby red one as it is shot in the shade.

That was exactly what put me off ordering Vermillion Red on the X5. I couldn't get the image of a Hertz Taurus out of my head!

Definitely ruby. I've had my share of guards red type cars

 

Ruby Red is gorgeous and shows a little bit of pizazz without screaming "look at me, look at me!"

 

I have a guards red on order, but I must say almost all colors look good when they are brand new and sparkling clean.

 

congrats on your order - red always looks good on 911's. The one color I thought didn't look as good as last year is black. No offense to anyone who ordered black - just didn't suit my eye.

 

I saw the ruby red in person in Santa Barbara. It was magnifico...What a gouge on the price though.
