Bumming.....

Just got a call from dealer. My completion date has been moved back from 1/30 to 2/17.

I guess I gotta just put it out of my mind. Damn disappointing though.

That sucks - Hopefully you are in a snowy part of the world and you are simply avoiding the muck.

Was it based on a build item such as chrome trim... or just backlog?

I know what you mean, but come on now, it's not that bad having to wait a few extra weeks for a $100,000 car.

Nope, I'm in Florida. Not sure of the reason why. At least my wife's Cayenne S is still on schedule for a Jan. 29 completion.

I had these romantic visions of walking in to the dealership and seeing the new CS and the new 991 in the showroom next to one another waiting to be delivered. Originally both completion dates were a day apart. Oh well. The Cayenne will help the wait seem more bearable.

My 991 estimated completion date slipped a couple times, then they completed it ahead of schedule...don't despair!

My 991S was completed on December 23, but cannot figure out when it will get here. Has passed inspection, then nothing since.

I have found that given this scenario, they all of a sudden show up.

I've always tried to be patient. But, alas ... that is not in my genetics.

I'm fine with what I'm told will be the delivery date. When it's moved back, I'm bummed. But, with a new MY, I'm not surprised with the 'set backs' that occur.

The car will be delivered, tho. It will.

It depends a lot on when a spot on a ship is available. If you are lucky it gets on a few days after it is complete, if not it could be a week or so. Not sure where it will get off the boat in the USA, maybe Baltimore maybe San Diego. You don't want San Diego, it adds an additional 10 days to get to port.

Mine finished on, I believe, the same date. It is now on the vessel DAEDALUS LEADER, which is in the Atlantic on its way to Panama.

I wonder if yours ended up on the same boat??

I think about three weeks. I changed the wheels and they changed build date to later, then sooner again.
